How Cardazoid Came To BeIf websites were tv shows, then Cardazoid would be the spin-off of Rogue Underground, my personal place at Geocities which I launched in August '98 (no longer actually online). After about 3 weeks I added a postcard room to it and I got to try my hand at animated cards for the first time. I found I loved doing 'em and they were received very well. So I kept doing 'em. It didn't take long before I had more cards than I could possibly offer at the Underground, what with MyPostcards (as great as they are) giving me only one cgi script and the loading time for animated cards being what it is. So I decided to go for it. All the "venetian blind" backgrounds (such as the one in here) were created by Eidolon, who also created the side-panel backgrounds, including the one in the Lobby. The rest of the backgrounds were done by either him or myself and are credited in each respective category "room." All the headers in each of the 'rooms' were done by me, on August 11th and 12th, 2005. ~ Robby Cline 1999 - 2011 |
